Pakistan Wants to Host ICC World Twenty20 2014

Pakistan Cricket Board is now all set to bid for the hosting rights of ICC World Twenty20 2014. PCB chairman Ijaz Butt has recently revealed this news to a paper. Mr. Butt has said that he was trying to improve Pakistan’s image to the other cricket playing countries in his attempt to restore international cricket in Pakistan.

Due to tumultuous security condition of the country, foreign countries are not interested to play in Pakistan. The security concern got aggravated last March when Sri Lankan team came under a terror attack in Lahore. Since then, there has been no international cricket in Pakistan. Pakistan has also lost the hosting rights of the allotted matches of World Cup 2011.

Now, PCB officials are desperate to bring back international cricket in the country. Mr. Butt has also revealed that he is going to meet the chairmen of other cricket boards in his pursuit to seek their helps to revive cricket in Pakistan.
