Just hours after GM recalled its 1.3 million vehicles over potential power-steering failures, Nissan issued this recall and this just add up to people’s rising insecurity over vehicle safety standards. The recalls include Nissan’s Titan pickup trucks, Armada and Infiniti QX56 sport utility vehicles, and Quest minivans, some dating back to 2005. The Huffington Post reports:

Nissan received reports of three incidents where the car’s brake-pedal pins came loose and caused problems with braking but no accidents had been reported.
Some vehicles had been recalled to fix petrol gauges which indicate that there is plenty of fuel all the time; even if the tank is empty.

On March 2, 2010, GM issued a recall which covers 1.3 million vehicles including 2005-10 Chevrolet Cobalts, 2005-06 Pontiac 4s, 2005-07 Pontiac G5s, and 2005-06 Pontiac Pursuits over power steering issues. Till 1100 consumers filed complaint against GM vehicles.
