Singer, song writer vic chesnutt dead at 45 years

Talented singer and songwriter, Vic Chesnutt is now dead. For the last few days, the paraplegic singer and songwriter was in a coma. It is believed that the singer tried to commit suicide. An inhabitant of Athens, Georgia, forty five year Vic Chesnutt was very much popular for his songs on morality and pain. The news of the singer’s condition was initially spread through Twitter by Kristin Hersh, a friend, singer and fellow songwriter of Vic Chesnutt. On December 24, 2009, she tweeted the following message:

"Yeah, I can tell you what I know but no one knows much: another suicide attempt, looks bad, coma -- if he survives, there may be brain damage." An hour later, Hersh wrote, "This time, it's real scary: *this* time, he left a note, *this* time, he asked them to call me."

Born on November 12, 1964, Vic Chesnutt has been writing song since he was five years old. At the age of eighteen, he suffered a severe injury from a car accident. He was discovered in the late 80s by Michael Stipe, the lead vocal of American rockband R.E.M, based in Chesnutt’s home town. Stipe also produced Vic’s first two albums.



Vic Chesnutt tested his first commercial success in 1996 with the album

“Sweet Relief II: Gravity of the Situation.” Throughout his singing career, Chesnutt produced 13 albums including two albums in 2009- “At the Cut” and “Skitter on Take-Off.”
