Actress Connie Hines, who is best known for her supporting role in popular TV show, “Mister Ed,” died on December 18, 2009, at her Beverly Hills home California. Alan Young, her co-star in “Mister Ed” told media that the death was caused by complications of heart problems. Connie Hines was seventy nine years
old.
Born on March 24, 1931, in Dedham, Massachusetts to an actress mother and teacher cum acting coach father. During her childhood she appeared in many of her father’s plays. Later, she went to Florida and started working as a model and stage and radio actress. She also joined a stock company in Miami.
Hines is widely remembered for her role of Carol Post on Mister Ed, a sitcom aired by CBS in from 1961 to 1966. It was her best known character to date. Carol Post was the wife and patient of Wilbur Post played by Alan Young. Wilbur Post was the only person who could communicate with the title character, a horse named Mr. Ed.Hines’ other major television shows include “Bonanza,” “Perry Mason” and “The Millionaire.”
