Carrie Underwood got Engaged to Mike Fisher

Carrie Underwood is a famous Country singer. She became famous as she was the winner of American Idol Season 4. Now, she has got engaged to Mike Fisher who is a hockey player for Ottawa Senators. They have been dating for quite some time but always kept the relationship mostly out of the media spotlight. Yesterday, Mike Fishr proposed to Carrie Underwood and she happily accepted the proposal. Then, a lot of rumors started to surface in Internet and earlier today, it was officially confirmed by her publicist Jessie Schmidt. The date of marriage has not been fixed yet. In the last few days, we have heard a number of divorces or marriage problems among celebrities in USA. So, the news of engagement of Carrie Underwood with Mike Fisher is a welcome break for the ordinary people.

Just on a side note, Tiger Woods news is not dominating today. So, it is a day for celebrating this engagement. Of course, the tragic and ill fated death of Britney Murphy has caused a lot of sadness among the fans. Life must go on and perhaps the news of Carrie Underwood  shows us the brighter side of life.
