Sachin Tendulkar: After 20 Years of Cricket

He is considered to be the greatest batsman of our time and he is most probably one of the top 3 most popular living persons in India. You can see him all the time in TV ads. Yes, I am talking about Sachin Tendulkar. He has been playing cricket for the last 20 years and he started playing international cricket just at the age of 16. He has been tireless in making history and creating records. I think that he holds most number of records in this game both in Test and ODI formats. He looks still solid and I am sure that if he wants then he can play for another 4-5 years easily.

 

BBC reported:

Tendulkar made his debut against Pakistan in Karachi on 15 November 1989 at the age of only 16 years and 205 days.

His captain on that occasion was Kris Srikkanth, now India's chief selector, who said: "He is perhaps the most popular cricketer in the game.

"In India, every youngster who is in school or college cricket wants to become a Sachin."

 

So, today, Tendulkar passed 20 years and many people are happy that he was born in India and he decided to pursuit his dream as a cricketer from a very early age.
