Nepal: One of the Top Ten Travel Destinations in 2010

I always have some weakness for Nepal because it is the birth place of Gautama Buddha. Well, it is also the place of some of the highest mountain peaks in the world. So, it is a great place to travel and Lonely Planet has listed it as one of the top ten places to travel in 2010. I agree with this listing because Nepal has a unique combination of history and nature. If you are looking for history then I have already told you about the birth place of Gautama Buddha. If you are looking for natural beauty then mountain peaks are excellent.

Perhaps the most attractive thing to do in this country is go on mountain tracking. You can climb some mountains and you can spend many days in enjoying the beauty of these mountains. This is indeed an experience that you will never forget.

I have not been able to go to Nepal yet. However, I wished to go there within the next two years.
