Quick Gun Murugun broke Guinness World Record by making the largest dhosa in the world

For its funny trailer and uncommon marketing strategy, Quick Gun Murugun created lots of curiosity among people. On August 19, 2009, they movie made its place in the Guinness World Record by making the largest dhosa. Yes, Rajendra Prasad, the hero of QGM, made the largest dhosa in the world to promote his movie. At the Sankalp Restaurant in Ahmedabad, with the help of sixteen cooks, Rajendra Prasad made a thirty one foot long dhosha within forty minutes. Previously, the largest dhosa was thirty feet long. Sankalp Restaurant’s general manage, Jolly Christian said:

"We are going to break our own previous record of 30-feet dosa'. We will make a 31-feet dosa' on Wednesday at our SG Road outlet. The dosa' will be known as Quick Gun Murugun dosa'. Quick Gun Murugan is a south Indian cowboy who aims to make the world vegetarian. We are also a south Indian restaurant with a pure-veg motto,"

The story of the Murugun revolves around the fight between vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Hence, this dhosa making event had been used to promote the movie. Vivek Krishnani, a spokesperson of Fox Star Studios, said that since the movie promoted the importance of vegetarian food, they thought it would be a good idea to make Rajendra Prasad promote vegetarianism by making the popular South Indian dish.
