Honda CBF Stunner Sports bike is coming your way

On May 26, 2009, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) unveiled the new Honda CBF Stunner sports bike. HMSI is the Indian “two-wheeler-subsidiary” of the Japan based Honda Motor Co. and it launched the new Honda Stunner CBF to boost its sales in the market. The motor cycle is made for the young generation who likes to ride stylish, high power bikes. At the launching ceremony, Shinji Aoyama, CEO, HMSI, said that his company sold 1.7 million two wheelers in FY 2008-09 and this year, the company aims to increase 12% sales to 1.25 million two-wheelers. The Indian two-wheeler market is dominated by motorcycles and HMSI is aligning its products according to the market. The company further expects to strengthen its market position through new launches.

Design:

The Honda CBF Stunner sports bike is the first of its kind in the Indian market. Honda added many features that has never been tried before in this category of bikes in India. Definitely “THE STUNNER IS A HEAD TURNER.” The overall design makes the motor-bike look very stylish. The front body cowl and large fuel tank not only adds up to the style quotient but makes the motor cycle more aero dynamic and provides smooth ride. The Honda CBF Stunner is the first motor bike in the Indian market that comes with a stylish and comfortable elevated split back seat. The rear cowl adds up to the overall style quotient. The 17” black alloy wheels gives the bike a sporty look. The foot step gives the rider a sporty riding posture.

The new Honda CBF stunner sports bike would cost Rs. 64,630. The Stunner will become available in the market in June 2009. Honda has also plans to enter into the 100cc bike segment in 2010. Mr. Shinji Aoyama said that the entry level 100 cc bike would be priced between Rs.40,000 and Rs.45,000.
