Vineet Taneja, Director Marketing Nokia India, said that that Nokia always had a holistic approach towards driving the adoption of 3G in India, both at the infrastructure and at the handset level. As the top handset maker in the world, Nokia is always looking ahead in the future. With the launch of Nokia 2730 Classic Nokia has now over 20 3G handsets in its portfolio. Mr. Taneja said that Nokia firmly believes that 3G technologies and future enhancements will ensure future growth for the company.

Last year was not good for Nokia as it did not see much success. However, Nokia is very much determine to establish its position in the highly competitive handset market of India where Samsung and LG are in a far better position. Hence, Nokia has now decided to release low priced 3G phones. The biggest advantage of Nokia’s Classic series phones is their extensive web browsing capacity. Nokia phones are also popular for running longer.
