I was waiting for the movie “Veer” for Zarine Khan more than Salman Khan. So, any review that I want to see in Internet, I wish that they talks more about Zarine Khan. In the past, we have seen that when a Salman Khan movie becomes a super hit then for one reason or another the actress opposite of him falls to obscurity. Veer may have the same fate.
Maine Pyar Kiya was a smashing success and it launched the career of Salman but hardly anyone perhaps remembers the actress Bhagyashree. Chandni of Sanam Bewafa is now lost to obscurity. Even a better example is Bhumika Chawla who caught the attention of almost everyone with 2003 but she now acts mainly in other film industries rather than Bollywood. So, I am waiting to see whether Veer becomes a super hit film for Salman Kan but it brings nothing for Zarine Khan.
Today is the day of Release for Veer and it will take another few hours for us to get the reviews. I am going to mention here about some of the top reviews of this movie that you can find in Internet. So, come back in the evening to this entry and you can find some useful tings about Veer Movie review.
Salman Khan’s historical action movie SUCKS! This is the simplest summary of all the critics of Veer. Here are some more from various reviews:
I'm going with two out of five for director Anil Sharma's Veer. Watch it if you're a die-hard Salman fan. It's an epic-sized period film with tacky special effects.
And yet in trying so hard to win acclaim and scale, the film goes all over the place - *Gladiator, Troy , Braveheart* - complicating matters for its easy viewers.
In a scene from the film, Salman Khan fractures his leg and limps almost for one full reel. But in real life, one can say Salman ne apne hi paav par kulhadi maar lee (hit the axe on his own leg). The ordinary story he pens doesn’t do justice to the immense intensity he adds to his performance. Salman is marred and let down by his own self.
You will find such negative comments in all the reviews. The Veer is a movie that is made on a grand scale but due to poor story, nonsense narration and Salman Khan’s excessive presence ruined the movie. Veer tells the story of a warrior clan, the Pindharis, who swears to take revenge on the King of Madhavgarh (Jackie Shroff) for he joined the British, removes the Pindharis from their lands and kills their men. Prithvi Singh (Mithun Chakraborty) who is the head of the tribe, sends his two sons-Veer (Salman Khan) and Punya (Sohail Khan) to London to know the British. There Veer meets Princess Yashodhara (Zarine Khan), the daughter of the King of Madhavgarh and the two falls in love. The actors also failed to portray their characters properly as Salman Khan was omnipresent all over. All except Mithun Chakraborthy who stands out for his role. As for Salman Khan, he carries the movie well on his shoulder. He has the physique to play the character of a warrior and he did very well but the movie is like Salman worship and that is why it fails miserably.
