Arsenal vs AZ Alkmaar Preview & Live Score: Champions League 2009-10

After thrashing the city rivals Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 last Saturday, Arsenal is going to host Dutch league champion AZ Alkmaar on 4 November in a group H match of UEFA Champions League 2009-10. With 7 points from 3 games, the Gunners are currently leading the point table and a victory over Alkmaar on Wednesday night would see them through to the round of 16. Alkmaar would like to produce another surprising result against Arsenal as they did in their previous meeting on match-day 3 in the competition. The Dutch outfits held Wenger boys to a 1-1 draw courtesy of an injury time equalizer from David Mendes da Silva. However, the visitors know the fact that Emirates stadium has become one of the formidable fortresses in Europe. So, it seems that both sides would like to give their best with a view to picking up points they are looking for from the game and it seems that the match has a lot to offer for the football fans.

Match: Arsenal vs AZ Alkmaar; Group H, UEFA Champions League 2009-10
Date: 4 November 2009, Wednesday
Venue: Emirates Stadium
Kick off: 19:45 GMT
Live TV: Sky Sports 2 Television Channel

Arsenal has been unbeaten in 11 games in all competitions and this unbeaten streak indicates their recent performance level. The only problem Arsenal seems to have been suffering for some time now is their inability to hold on to their early leads. Arsenal was put in front in the 1-1 draw against Alkmaar thanks to a 36th-minute strike from Cesc Fabregas, but they wasted the lead conceding a late goal. The same thing happened in a 2-2 draw against a weak West Ham United last week as they failed to hold on to a 2-0 lead in the game. Overall, Arsenal needs to be more clinical in finishing off the match of this sort and the North Londoners desperately need to develop this skill if they are to end their title drought this season.

Ahead of the game against the Dutch side, Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has asked his teammates to show the killer instinct. He also thinks that Arsenal must learn from the mistakes they have done over the past few weeks.

Straitstimes reported:

'We must learn from these games. We have to do better,' Fabregas said. 'Of course we wish we could score four or five goals in every single game, but we must realise that sometimes that is not the way football is and sometimes to win the games, you just have to not make mistakes and work hard to keep the ball better.' – AFP
AZ Alkmaar has been in a contrastive form recently. Though they showed a spirited performance against Arsenal at home, the Dutch champions have managed only 2 wins in their last 11 games in all competitions. The only good sign is that the visitors would go into the game on the back of a 1-0 win over Groningen last weekend. Despite have a good start to the season, the defending champions imploded embarrassingly in the league and are currently in 7th place with 18 points from 12 games with a 14-point deficit with leader FC Twente. So, it is pretty much that they have come far away from the title race this season, and that is why, they would perhaps be more determined to show something impressive in Europe.

AZ knows very well the kind of challenge they are going to face at Emirates on Wednesday and what it would require to stave off the challenge. It is apparent that picking up at least a point from the game would be the ultimate target of the visiting side, but restricting Arsenal from 3 points would not be an easy task. The only injury casualty is last season’s top scorer Moroccan striker Mounir El Hamdaoui who is currently out with a hamstring problem. However, they have some quality forwards in Graziano Pellè, Moussa Dembélé and Jeremain Lens.

Arsenal does not have any new injury concern except striker Nicklas Bendtner who picked up a groin injury during Arsenal 3-0 recent win over Tottenham in premier league and Wenger has confirmed that the club would miss the service of the player for 4 weeks. However, there is good new too for the Arsenal fans. Some of the injured players Samir Nasri, Eduardo and Ramsey have returned in action after recovering from their respective injuries, but Wenger is still missing the players like Denilson, Rosický, Djourou, Walcott, Wilshere and Vela.

Following the 3-0 thrashing of Tottenham, Gunners boss Wenger is full of praise about his boys. He thinks that Arsenal has finally started showing what they are capable of and the kind of class and talent they possess. He also believes that Arsenal has enough resource to win title this season.

Thestar reported:

“Do we have enough to win the title? I say yes. I’ve said that since the first day of the season and it won’t change now,” Wenger said.
“We want to show consistency and intelligence and that is not easy,” the Frenchman added.

“I believe we have the opportunity and it will be down to our attitude. It is not about opinions, it is about performances on the pitch. That is what is important and we are doing that at the moment. It has been a fantastic week for the club.”

Arsenal has a very strong squad in the presence of some match winner. The back line is pretty much settled now as Gallas, Vermaelen, Sagna and Clichy have been doing their job with sheer success. Goalkeeper Alumnia has been back in action with the game against Tottenham and kept the clean sheet, but Wenger is reportedly tempted to feature Vito Mannone in Champions League. The manager would take a late decision on whom to deploy in Arsenal goalpost. Their midfield also features some strong characters like Fabregas, Arshavin who are excellent both physically as well as technically. Song could be the holding midfielder. Diaby and Eboue both could feature, unless Arsenal plays a second striker in Eduardo alongside Robin van Persie.

Arsenal is clearly favorite against AZ, given their scoring form of recent and their consistent dominance at home. However, AZ would not like to be dominated by the Gunners, rather would be looking to produce a spirited performance at Emirates. Arsenal could feel extra pressure as the expectation from them would be high, and picking up 3 points is now considered to be a duty for Arsenal. On the other hand, AZ has nothing to lose in a defeat at the hands of the home side; rather has everything to win. So, despite Arsenal’s high-flying form of recent, you can expect a highly competitive match between Arsenal and AZ Alkmaar.

Looking for a semi final berth in Champions Trophy 2009, Australia is going to play their last group match against Pakistan tomorrow (30 September) at Centurion. After the match between India and Australia was washed out yesterday, Australia now needs to win over Pakistan in order to clinch their semi final place without having to face any complex calculation of net run rate. For Pakistan, it is not a very big match because they have already reached the semi final after winning over West Indies and India. However, Pakistan knows it very well that if they lose to Australia then Australia will go into the last four as Group A champion. Naturally, Pakistan would like to hold on to its leading place in the group.

Match: Australia vs Pakistan, Group A, ICC Champions Trophy 2009

Date: 30 September 2009

Venue: The SuperSport Park, Centurion, South Africa

Kick off: 07:30 GMT (Local Time 09:30)

Australia is now in the race with India to reach the semi final. Ponting and his side defeated West Indies by 50 runs in the first group match and then shared points with India in the washed-out game. So, they have 3 points from 2 games, while India, who lost to Pakistan in the first game, has only 1 point from 2 matches. The good thing for India is that they would face West Indies in their next match, and thus, having a good chance of maintaining a good net run rate by defeating the second string West Indies with a big margin.

BBC reported:

India now have to beat West Indies on Wednesday if they hope to progress.

With Pakistan already into the last four with two wins from two games, India have one point and Australia three.

That means Mahendra Dhoni's men must beat the Windies convincingly and hope Pakistan see off Australia in Wednesday's other match.

At this moment, Australia has an advantage over India in terms of net run rate. Australia’s net run rate is +1.000, almost +2.08 above India. That means Australia can go through to the semi final, even if they lose against Pakistan. They just need to ensure that they do not suffer a big margin victory. The smaller the Pakistan’s winning margin over Australia would be, the bigger the India’s winning margin over West Indies would be required.

Australia got off to a winning start in the tournament when they defeated West Indies by 50 runs in the opening game. Against India, Australian batsmen were looking formidable until rain halted the game. Australian batsmen failed to appear with their best against West Indies, but their top order batsmen got their form back against India. Captain Ricky Ponting was impressive in both the games, scoring half centuries on both occasions. Naturally, Australia has nothing to worry about at this moment. They just need to according to their credit.

PTI News reported:

The Australians have had a reasonably good tournament, wining the opening match against the West Indies before dominating the abandoned game against India.

Ponting has led from the front in both the matches, scoring a couple of crucial fifties and putting together match-saving partnerships in tough conditions.

However, Australian batsmen might face a big test against Pakistan’s two in-from spinners: Shahid Afridi and Saeed Ajmal who are currently causing problems for the opposition batsmen consistently. I think, Pakistan would feature Mohammad Asif who has been back into the squad after serving a year of doping ban. The pacer has not played any international game over more than a year now. Naturally, Pakistan would like to play the pacer because they have already ensured their semi final berth and a defeat to Australia would not mar their aspiration of winning the Champions trophy 2009.

Brisbanetimes reported:

Pakistan coach Intikhab Alam nominated the presence of spinners Shahid Afridi and Saeed Ajmal as a worry for Australia's batsmen on the slower wicket at SuperSport Park.

"So far the way they are bowling, they are exceptional, so we have an edge over them (Australia)," Intikhab said.

"They are a world-class side, they're very professional cricketers, but it will be a great challenge for them to tackle the Pakistani spinners."

Pakistani batsmen got their form back against India, even though they struggled against West Indies while chasing a very low total in their opening game. They have a very good batting line up in the presence of Nazir, Kamran Akmal, Yousuf, Shoaib Malik, Umar Akmal, Afridi and Rana Naved. No doubt, Pakistan poses a threat for Australia in the next game.

Australia will also be careful on the net run rate criteria as well. Even if they see that things are going against them, they would then try to ensure that they would not lose by a big margin. So, at this moment, I think Australia seems to be favorite over India to join Pakistan in the semi final. I do not think that Australia would bring any change in their squad against Pakistan.

Pakistan seems to be favorite at this moment, but Australia has a very strong squad and more than anything, Aussies are determined to make it to the semi final. They know that elimination from the group stage would add to their pressure that they have been feeling since losing the Ashes 2009 series. Given Pakistan’s high-flying form, it seems that Younis Khan and his side would like to continue their winning run before playing their semi final match. So, we can expect a highly competitive affair on Wednesday.

Standard Liege vs Arsenal Preview & Live Score: UEFA Champions League 2009-10

Arsenal starts their Champions league mission on Wednesday (16 September 2009) at Belgian champion Standard Liege in Group H. Gunners would go into the game on the back of two back-to-back defeats, but they retain a bit of their confidence as UEFA overturned the two-match diving suspension imposed on Arsenal striker Eduardo da Silva. Liege did not have a very good start to the new season, but last Saturday’s 3-0 win over Mechelen must have boost up their confidence ahead of the home encounter with Arsenal. So, both Arsenal and Standard Liege would like to have a good start in Europe.

Arsenal suffered two morale-denting defeats in premier league recently. First they lost to English champion Manchester United 2-1, and then suffered a crushing 4-2 defeat at the hands of another Manchester-based club Manchester City. There is no doubt, both the defeats came as a big blow for the North London club who had a flying start to the new season. The result and the scoreline of the two defeats could make you feel that Arsenal displayed frustrating performance. However, the fact is that Arsenal’s performance was not as disappointing as the scoreline would suggest. In the first game, Arsenal even took lead against United and was leading 1-0 in the half time, but United bounced back through a penalty and a own goal in the second half. Same thing happened in the next game too as Arsenal was fighting toe-to-toe with City until 60 or 70 odd minutes in the game, but the Gunners made it a mess in the end.

Despite the two defeats, Arsenal can still remain optimistic about their trip to Belgium considering two facts. First of all, Arsenal had an emphatic 7-0 victory over Liege in 1992 UEFA Cup. Though the game was 15 years back and a lot of things changed during this long period, Arsenal can still find inspiration from that victory. Secondly, Arsenal would now know that they would get the service of Croatian striker Eduardo who was earlier handed a ban for allegedly diving during Arsenal’s 3-1 win over Celtic in Champions League qualifier, but UEFA has took away ban after examining all the video evidences of that incident. Eduardo himself is very much delighted with the decision and is now confident of helping Arsenal in the upcoming champions league fixture at Standard Liege.

iol.co.za reported:

"I'm very pleased that we have finally arrived at the truth. All we needed to do was to prove what happened and we have managed to do that. This decision makes me feel a lot better," Eduardo said.

"I just want to say that I'm a fair player. To score goals you must take your opportunities and I'm not the type of player who needs to be dishonest to score goals.

"Now I just want to forget about this and think about our match against Standard Liege on Wednesday.

Standard Liege is the defending champion of Belgian first division. However, they got off to an ordinary start to the new season. Out of 6 games, Standard drew 4 and won 2 so far this season. Naturally, this is not what Standard was looking for. However, the good thing is that Standard indicated to get their rhythm back as they defeated Mechelen 3-0 this weekend. The Belgian outfit would like to put the memory of their 7-0 defeat to Arsenal back ahead of the home encounter with Arsenal. It is pretty much understandable that Standard has been changed a lot over the last 15 years and Arsenal would make a mistake if they just sit back and relax relishing their past triumph. In fact, Standard Liege also knows the fact that they are a different side now, so there is no thing to worry about what happened 15 years ago.

However, there is still something for Standard to be worried about and that is injury problem. Standard would miss their captain Steven Defour who has been sidelined for 6 weeks after injuring his right foot during recent win against Mechelen. No doubt, it is a huge blow for them ahead of the Arsenal encounter. Moreover, there are some other injury woes Liege would have to deal with while hosting Arsenal.

USA Today reported:

Standard enters the game with Defour's injury made worse by worries that fellow midfielder Wilfried Dalmat and striker Igor de Camargo might not make kickoff. And Alex Witsel, Belgium's most valuable player, will come cold into the game after he started serving an eight-match league suspension for breaking the leg of an Anderlecht defender.

Arsenal does not have any new injury problem, but they would miss the service of Andrei Arshavin in Belgium. Theo Walcott has not yet recovered from his injury fully and would remain sidelined for the Champions league opener too. The only good sign is that midfielder Tomas Rosicky returned to action when he came off the bench against Manchester City.

Sportsbettingreview reported:

Andrei Arshavin missed the match through injury and will be unavailable against Standard Liege. Theo Walcott is still out, as well.

Tomas Rosicky’s return to action is a big positive for Arsenal and to have him on the scoresheet will only boost his confidence.

Another boost came for Arsenal on Monday with the news that Eduardo will feature for the Gunners, after UEFA overturned their initial two-match ban for diving against the Croatian striker.

Arsenal would definitely start the game as a favorite, but Standard Liege will be looking to cause an upset exploiting their home advantage. Still, Arsenal should not have many problems to outclass the home side, unless they fail to deliver at their best. On the other hand, Standard would not mind even if they can come out with a point from the game. Standard might start the game in aggressive mode in order to put some pressure on the visitors, while Arsenal may not rush for attack initially. Rather, they would like to control the midfield from the beginning and it would not be easy for the Gunners in the absence of Arshavin. Anyway, I hope to see some exciting football from both sides.

India vs Sri Lanka Live Score, Time and TV Channel Information: Compaq Cup Final 2009

India vs Sri Lanka Compaq Cup Final 2009 match will take place on 14 September 2009 and the match will take place at Colombo. It is a day night match and will start at 9:00 GMT (14:30 Sri Lanka time and Indian Time). It is a Monday but I expect that millions of people in India will be glued to their TV sets. They have not won anything for sometime and they want some success in Sri Lanka. On the other hand, Sri Lanka defeated India convincingly yesterday in the group stage match. So, tomorrow, Indian players will be there to take revenge.
It quite a long time that India could win in any final match in Sri Lanka. So, the odds are against them and the home players should have a confident approach. However, don’t forget that anything can happen in ODI cricket. Well, Indian fans want something good because just next week will be ICC Champions Trophy 2009 in South Africa.

Media buzz about the match:
Sri Lanka will be hoping that ace spinner Muttiah Muralitharan will be fit to play along with middle order batsman Thilan Samaraweera. In fact Muralitharan had a good work out at the nets yesterday and will be determined to make his presence felt in this final. Skipper Kumar Sangakkara said that Muralitharan is fit and ready to go. “We will see how he is and will make a decision as to whether he is available for the final. The Champions Trophy is coming up in South Africa and we don’t want to rush him into anything too soon.”.
India had beaten Sri Lanka in an ODI series the last time they were here but Sangakkar said the Lankans don't have revenge on mind.
"No revenge against India. I think you learn from your past games and you move on and you face newer teams, different combinations. So, the past is past really. You cannot dwell on it too much and get lost in it. You have got to be prepared for the present and the future," he said.
The series has not managed to bring in the crowds so far with the stadium remaining mostly empty. Sangakkar blamed it on lack of facilities for the paying public.
So, let us hope that it will be a highly competitive match for the viewers.

Arsenal vs Celtic Live Score and Preview: CL Qualifying 2009-10

Arsenal vs Celtic match of 26 August is perhaps not the dream match of many Gunners fan but this time, they should be in happy mood because their club has opened the season in the best possible way so far. They played 3 matches and won all 3 of them, scored 12 goals and suffered just 2. What is perhaps admirable is that in 2 of the 3 matches, they were the away team. So, they have some kind of strength and consistency so far. That is why, hardly anyone is worried for tomorrow’s match in London.

If you are a Celtic fan then perhaps you have already given up hope. It is almost impossible to score 3 goals against the Gunners at the Emirates. Celtic Coach feels that it is not a lost cause and it is still possible to do the impossible thing tomorrow night at the Emirates stadium. Well, I am not hopeful and I know that hardly anyone in the Celtic camp is hopeful. If really Celtic can score 3 goals tomorrow then I must admit that it will be one of the biggest miracles in football history of this decade.

Mirror Football reported:

Arsenal’s 2-0 first leg win at Parkhead makes them massive favourites to claim their berth in the Champions League group phase.

But after Mowbray’s Bhoys overturned a 1-0 deficit to triumph at Dinamo Moscow, the Celtic chief insisted his men can stun Arsene Wenger and the Emirates.

Mowbray, who will restore Aidan McGeady and Scott McDonald to his starting side, said: “We’re not going to paint it as anything other than difficult but it’s all about trying to score the first goal, because that will be crucial.

Well, I want to say that Arsenal players should feel complacent about tomorrow’s match. Yes, they are playing well and it is good. They should be confident but should not become over confident. They should not under estimate Celtic because in the first leg, the two goals that Arsenal got both of them came out of luck. It is true that they played better than the Scottish side but I think that luck helped them more. Celtic is a very experienced club in European Football. They even won the championship and in 1967 they won the European Cup and I do not need to remind the readers that Arsenal still could not do it.

At this moment, it appears to me that injury will pose a bigger problem for Wenger tomorrow than Celtic. Tomas Rosicky, Theo Walcott, Lukasz Fabianski, Samir Nasri and Johan Djourou are already out of action due to injury and more than everything, captain Cese Fabregas is also injured and cannot take part in tomorrow’s match.

Reuters reported:

The 22-year-old Spain midfielder, who excelled in the 2-0 first-leg win at Celtic Park on August 18, suffered a hamstring injury in the Premier League game with Portsmouth on Saturday.

"His scan was quite reassuring as he has no muscular strain but it will take a few days to settle down," Wenger was quoted as saying on the official Arsenal website (www.arsenalfc.com).

Fabregas could also miss the Premier League clash with champions Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday, though Wenger remained optimistic he could play a part.

Yes, Arsene Wenger has to think of the upcoming match against Manchester Untied on this Saturday too. He will hope that tomorrow, Celtic will not give too much trouble and his boys will have a comfortable match. This way, they will be fresh for Saturday against Manchester United.

Now, let us discuss that who will win tomroorw? If you ask my opinion then I would say that Arsenal will easily win the match. Even I don’t think that it will be a draw. If the Gunners do not win the match then I will be shocked.

The match will be telecast live in Ten Sports TV Channel in my part of the world. As for live score, several websites provide live score and updates and I am giving names of some of them:

Arsenal vs Portsmouth Preview and Live Score: EPL 2009-10

For Live Score of the match, visit the link:

Live Updates of Arsenal vs Portsmouth

Arsenal is going to play against Portsmouth on this Saturday and the match is going to take place in the home and stadium of arsenal in London The Emirates. In the last one week, the gunners have played two matches and both of them were away matches. Now, this is the first opportunity for the supporters to see their favorite players in action in their own stadium in the season. In the league, arsenal has played only one match and last week they defeated Everton 6-1. Then in Europe, they defeated Celtic. So, they’re still undefeated and they have won the two matches so far that they played. Now, they have the opportunity go on the top of the league table if they can beat Portsmouth.

BBC wrote:

Having lost a host of players since last season, Pompey have now lost their first two matches, and appear to have also lost hope that Sulaiman Al Fahim will be able to complete his planned takeover.

A consortium led by chief executive Peter Storrie is now hoping to buy the club, who are without a point or a goal so far this season and in danger of beginning a Premier League campaign with three defeats for the first time.

In contrast, it has been a great start to the season for Arsenal, who thrashed Everton 6-1 at Goodison Park last weekend and who already look to have a bit more steel about them than in recent years.

Now, let us take a look at the position of these two clubs in the league table. I just mentioned that arsenal has played only one match and they have a goal difference of five. If they win this match then they will be at the top of the table. On the other hand, Portsmouth has played two matches and lost both of them and are currently almost at the end of the table. The only thing that can make them happy perhaps is that they have suffered only two goals and two matches. However, It is bad to see that they could not score any goal so far in the season. So, it is clear that they have some serious problem in the attacking zone.

Match: Arsenal vs Portsmouth; English Premier League 2009-10

Date: 22 August 2009, Saturday

Venue: The Emirates, London

Kick off: 1500 BST (British Summer Time)

At this moment, I think that the main problem with Arsenal is that they are suffering some injury problem. They have some key players out of action because of injury and I have that the condition does not become worse. It is just the start of the season and they are already facing some shortages. Portsmouth should not be a very difficult opposition to beat. In fact, I am worried for their injury then winning the match.

With all the bad news, the good news is that Eduardo is fit for the match against Portsmouth. Eduardo is a very talented young striker who was out of action most of the time last season. He can score goals with ease and hopefully if tomorrow he comes to play then he may score a goal after all.

Sri Lanka vs Pakistan 1st ODI 2009: Preview and Live Score

Sri Lanka is going to play against Pakistan in the first one-day international cricket match on 30 July, Thursday. The match is going to be a day match and it is not welcome news for every one because it is time of hot weather in Sri Lanka. So, the players will not be able to play in good environment. On the other hand, it is going to take place on Thursday a working day in both Sri Lanka and Pakistan. So, the cricket crazy fans will not be able to watch most part of their matches in their television sets.

The match is going to take place at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium and let me tell you something about it first. The stadium has sitting capacity of more than 16,000. It has also floodlight. Dambulla International cricket Stadium was built in 2000 and the first match took place in March 2000 was between England and Sri Lanka. The pitch is considered to be good for bowlers and fast bowlers get more benefit in morning time while in the afternoon it is the spinners to get more support from the pitch.

You know that Sri Lanka and Pakistan just finished playing a test series and in this test series, three matches were played in which Sri Lanka won the first two and the third was a draw. In fact, in the third test match, Pakistan was lucky that they could draw it because at one time it looked that they could loss it. Thus, Pakistan was very lucky to get saved from a total white wash in a test series. Of course, one-day international is a different ball game compared to test matches. Anything can happen in an ODI match and it is very unpredictable.

Although, Pakistan suffered humiliating defeat in the test series, their captain is very optimistic that they would much perform better in their ODI. In fact, Pakistan is confident that they can win the ODI series because they have some good players. In fact, the good part for them is that some fresh and new players are going to take part in the ODI series. First of all, I have to talk about the Shahid Afridi, who decided not to play in the test series. He was the top player in ICC World Twenty20 2009. Then there is Rana Naved and Imran Nazir who are going to make into the national team after a long absence because of their playing in Indian Cricket League or ICL. These three players are in fresh mood and they can really improve the performance of the team.

I would like to talk more about Shahid Afridi because it seems that 2009 is the year of Afridi. In April, he played against Australia in Dubai and his performance was best for his team. In fact, in that series he was in top form and among all the Pakistani players, Afridi performed consistently in the series against Australia. The same can be said in World Twenty20 Cup. He was the key man behind the success of his team. I hope that you remember that Pakistan became champion of World Cup Twenty20 2009 and in the final match they defeated Sri Lanka. Shahid Afridi was man of the match in semi-final and final matches in Twenty20 World Cup and it shows that what kind of form he is. Another player that Pakistan is hoping a lot is Umar Akmal who is the brother of Kamran Akmal. Umar Akmal is a very young player and he is only 19-year old but on this Monday, he scored 101 runs against Sri Lanka A in a warm-up match. So, there is a lot of expectation from Umar Akmal too.

Sri Lankan players are also very confident. They are in good form in 2009. They demolished Pakistan in the test series as I just stated earlier. And all their players are in good form. Sri Lanka has a very talented and they are consistently performing well since their world cup triumph in 1996.

However, I think that Sri Lanka will miss Chaminda Vaas. Chaminda Vaas recently retired from test cricket but he said that he wanted to play ODI matches for another two years. However, Sri Lankan selector did not think that Vaas was an experienced and good player now and they did not select him. I think that it is a big mistake and they should not have done it. Chaminda Vaas has been the main fast bowler for many years for Sri Lankan team and they should have picked him. However, Sri Lankan fans will surely miss Tillakaratne Dilshan more than Chaminda Vaas. Dilshan was in superb form in Twenty20 World Cup 2009 but he is suffering from a bad injury that he got in the third test.

I am afraid that rain can play very important fact in the match because at this moment in South Asia it is time of rainy season.

So, who do you think will win the match? I think that Pakistan has better chance because they have got some fresh players and Afridi is in superb form in this year. Pakistan cricket board has also acted very smartly by bringing back quality players like Rana Naved and Imran Nazir. Both of them are good for shorter version of cricket.
