Raj Kundra Shilpa Shetty and family is going to honeymoon in the Bahamas

After a hectic marriage schedule, Shilpa Shetty and her husband, Raj Kundra are going to honeymoon in the Bahamas, yes, the paradise island. However, the couple is also accompanied by their respective family members. Why? Well, after a hectic marriage schedule both the Shetty’s and the Kundra’s are very tired and they are looking forward to relax and enjoy for themselves. What can be a better choice than the Bahamas? Husband Raj Kundra booked a regal suite at the Atlantis resort where few months back Miss Universe 2009, one of the most famous beauty pageants in the world took place.

Prior to Raj Kundra, Shilpa Shetty was in a serious relationship with Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar. The couple broke up in 2000. This was followed by a short stint with Bollywood director, Anubhav Sinha. Her relationship with Raj Kundra also created lots of controversy. A London based businessman of Indian origin, Raj Kundra is a self-made millionaire. Raj was previously married and his former wife-Kavita accused of Shilpa Shetty of breaking her marriage. Ending all the controversies, Shilpa finally got married and is now heading towards the Bahamas for honeymoon.

Finally, ending all the rumors, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty is getting married to Raj Kundra, a London based businessman. The two would get married on November 22, 2009. The thirty four year old actress is now going through an strange mixed feelings. In her personal blog, shilpashettylive.com/blog/, she wrote:

"To all those who want to know how I am feeling, I just want to say I'm going through a lot of mixed feelings - happiness, excitement, nervousness, just like any bride to be and sadness as well,… Honestly, it still hasn't sunk in completely, it's a strange emotion, can't describe it. The only consolation is that I'm tying the knot with Raj - a man who lets me be and doesn't want me or my life to change and that erases premarital jitters,”

She further wrote that marriage is a big step and it comes with great responsibilities. She believes in this institution and hopes to make her marriage a success.

Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra have been seeing each other since 2007 and in the last two years, the tabloids published numerous news on her affair and her marriage, but the actress refuted the claims and said that when the time comes she would inform every one.

The news of Shilpa Shetty’s marriage with London based businessman Raj Kundra created another media frenzy but it is not true. The actress became very upset with the news. She told the reporters not to publish such baseless news. On her blog, www.shilpashettylive.com/blog/, she wrote:

“I’ve said before, I will make an official announcement the day my parents decide on my marriage date and I promise the press will have at least a month to celebrate the announcement. So to set the record straight, no I’m not getting married this year. Yes, I am looking at next year, but date not decided,”

The news of Shilpa Shetty’s marriage came out after her father, Surendra Shetty submitted details to the court to obtain his passport on the pretext of Shilpa Shetty’s wedding. This detail eventually leaked out and caused all the hullabaloos. Surendra Shetty’s passport was confiscated as he and his wife Sunanda Shetty was charged of extortion. To obtain his passport Surendra Shetty provided details to Surat court. Shilpa also became very upset with the leakage of this detail. She also wrote:

“My poor dad is already having a tough time every time he has to travel abroad and has to apply for his passport, and as alway it’s harrowing enough for him to go back and forth every time for his passport... “My dad’s 67 and ageing, please let the poor man live in peace and dignity, it’s annoying. I request the press to report responsibly and not make any baseless assumptions”.

As an actress Shilpa Shetty did not see much success in Bollywood. Her luck changed after she attended the reality show, “Big Boss” in the U.K. Shilpa Shetty has been dating with London based businessman Raj Kundra and the couple is going to get married.
